Helping Everyday People Understand and Sell Their Coins
At Rare Coin USA, we started with one simple realization. Thousands of people across the country have old coins sitting in jars, boxes, and drawers, coins they inherited, found, or collected over the years, and most of them have no idea what those coins are worth or where to sell them.
That confusion is exactly what we set out to fix.
Our Story
We spend our time researching, writing, and sharing information about old and rare coins, everything from Morgan silver dollars to Jefferson nickels to wheat pennies. Over time, we built a community of people who trust us to give them honest, clear answers instead of hype or guesswork.
The question we heard the most, again and again, was simple. “I have a coin. Where do I sell it?”
So we built Rare Coin USA to answer exactly that question, in plain language, with real information people can actually use.
What We Do
We help coin owners understand what they have and connect them with trusted places to sell it. Whether that means pointing you toward a reputable local dealer, a major auction house, or simply teaching you how to check your coin’s value before you sell, our goal is the same. We want you to walk away with clear answers, not more confusion.
We are not a coin dealer, and we do not buy or grade coins ourselves. We are a resource built to guide you through the process honestly, so you can sell with confidence and never feel like you settled for less than your coin was worth.
Why People Trust Us
We believe in straight answers over hype. We will never tell you a common coin is rare just to get your attention, and we will never send you somewhere we would not trust ourselves. Every recommendation we share is based on real research, real contacts, and a genuine effort to help.
Our Mission
To make coin selling simple, honest, and stress free for everyday people, no matter how big or small your collection is.
If you have questions, or you are not sure where to start, we are here to help.
